About Enniskerry Youth Club

Historically a senior men’s club founded in 1966, Enniskerry Youth Club AFC has experienced massive growth in recent years. We now field senior men’s and women’s teams and have a thriving underage section, comprising of 12 underage teams and a very successful Junior Academy.

The Junior Academy, started in 2017, launches boys and girls aged 4-6 on their football journey with fun-based skill practices and games, every Saturday morning at 10am. Its founding was the starting point of our 11-year plan to have boys’ and girls’ teams from under 8 to under 18, whose players would eventually graduate to playing for the senior teams by 2028.

We work off a player-centred coaching programme, which focuses on the individual needs of players as they progress through the age groups. All our volunteer coaches  are fully engaged with the programme, regularly attending ‘coach the coaches’ evenings, during which they take part in technical sessions, monitor progress and provide feedback to the club’s management on all issues.

All coaches are fully Garda vetted and all have attended FAI safeguarding courses.

We welcome players of all ages to the club. Our home in Berryfield Park, Enniskerry,  is one of the finest football facilities in County Wicklow.  We have  full-size grass and all-weather pitches and a floodlit 9 a side training pitch, which are served by a clubhouse that includes a meeting room / kitchen area, four changing rooms, storage rooms and a referee’s room.
